Marcus Miller

Marcus assists with all practice areas at the firm, primarily focusing on emerging and start-up companies, intellectual property, and regulatory matters.

Before joining the firm, Marcus gained experience in the banking and finance team of a Silver Circle law firm. Marcus brings a unique perspective to his role, drawing from his diverse military background working in both intelligence and engineering roles. As a former section commander in the Australian Army, Marcus honed his ability to think clearly and remain steadfast in fast-paced, high-pressure situations while deployed to challenging environments such as Antarctica, Papua New Guinea, and numerous disaster zones throughout the Pacific. 

After his military service, Marcus pursued his passion for law, graduating from Deakin University in Melbourne, Australia. Prior to joining the firm, he interned at the Butler County Public Defender Office in Southwestern Ohio, and worked in the finance team of Herbert Smith Freehill’s Melbourne office. He joined the firm's New York team in January 2023.
